Apple has tweaked their website in a way that deserves some attention. Basically, the main change is the excellent new black(-ish) navigation bar, but there are also some other very nice changes.

I came across this one accidentally while reading up on Ruby on Rails. Typeonerror is a duo working to solve interactive design challenges. I really love how powerful their identity is through the use of colors, contents and interface elements. Quality stuff.

Check out Sam Dallyn's portfolio and you will see that he's a crazy good designer. His portfolio is just as good as his client work, so you should definitely take a good long look at it.

I have been keenly following the work Brad and Ryan have produced over the years. Together with the Virb team they have now rebooted the service and turned it into something completely different. A bold move that is so beautifully implemented that it will definitely make me consider signing up for the service the next time I'm creating a small site. Check out what ISO50 and TechCrunch has to say about the new site.

The tagline is 'A Couple That Loves to Create', and it really shows. Spectacular work by a husband and wife team working side by side. It's very rare for a portfolio to be this convincing.

Long time Styleboost™ friend Colin Cameron finally let his great project out of the bag. LogoPond has been dugg more than 2000 times and has been a tremendous success. The idea is to create an inspirational logo gallery much like Styleboost™ is a website gallery. Users can add their own logos and discuss others' logos.

Mavic is a french manufacturer of high-end bike systems and rider’s equipment. The site demands very high bandwidth, but the reason for this is the fact that they're showing off very high quality close-ups of their products. This is exactly the right thing to do in a situation such as this. They are selling expensive gear to pros and high-end enthusiasts who are likely to be very picky and therefore very interested in knowing exactly what they buy. I also love that they've put the logo at the bottom right.

If you're into fancy, experimental interfaces, Nikola Arežina and Ina Rančić perfectly executed this web based fashion collection showroom without the use of Flash. They also had good help from the beautiful clothes and photos. The color scheme is amazing.

I'm sure all of you saw this one last week. After all, it's not very often that a browser manufacturer like Google teams up with a hot band like Arcade Fire and a star director like Chris Milk to create something as beautiful as this. This is truly cutting edge.

WebExpo Prague is a Central European gathering of web enthusiasts taking place in Prague (obviously) in a couple of weeks. My favorite parts about this site: The big, bold navigation, the various overlays on the homepage photos and the clear focus on the contents. A job well done by Lukas Plihal, Jakub Bartásek and Vojtěch Bulant.
