The crazy bananas interface of the brand new thesixtyone interface works like a charm. Or, should I say, it works like a charm if you give it a few seconds (minutes?) of getting used to it. It's experimental, in-your-face and makes the bands and their music extra enthralling. My only gripe is that the nav seems somewhat choppy/laggy on my system. Maybe they just have a lot of traffic right now. Via @gblakeman.

Grooveshark has revamped Tinysong and made it even easier to share single songs. I think TechCrunch's Robin Wauters describes it well: "Simple, useful, and nicely designed. What’s not to love?"

Humanstudio (a.k.a Human) is a creative agency consisting of a core studio team and an extended network of talent. Founder Nick Bax was previously a director of The Designers Republic. The studio's portfolio site is basically a grid of thumbnail images of various sizes. The navigation is intuitive and easy to use, though I'd love the previous/next links to be a bit bigger. The work on display is, of course, splendid. Via CssDsgn.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is back with another buzz-worthy service. This time around he's launching a mobile payment startup that allows the iPhone to accept credit card payments. As the iPhone app went live a short time ago, Square also launched a revamped website courtesy of inhouse designer Robert Andersen (fun fact: The last time I wrote about Robert here on Styleboost, I accidentally referred to him as Booby).

I believe there are many aspects that set the Swedish music streaming service Spotify apart. One of these aspects is the design. And no, I'm not just referring to the interface of the software application itself, or just the brand. I also think they've done a great job with the website itself, and I would be very curious to see conversion rates of for instance Rhapsody and WiMP compared to Spotify's.

This is currently only a single page teaser page for an upcoming iPad app. Still, it's more than lickable enough to be featured here on Styleboost.

The first installment in Reagan Ray, Trent Walton and Dave Rupert's "The Many Faces Of..." project is out. This project was born out of a great love for movies and quality actors. Reagan's illustrations and design really makes it stand out. It's always great to behold pet projects like this one.
