Edward Hann's single page portfolio is an example of paying attention to all the little details. My favorite part of this one is how he has laid out the images of his work.

Awesome* is a small team working only on projects involving JavaScript. I love the way they show off their skills via subtle visual details. Pretty awesome, indeed.

With a redesigned website and an identity refresh, The Mid-Century Modernist is intent on showcasing the most beautiful retro objects of desire in the world. I really, really like the way it feels out of this world when it comes to layout, colors and navigation. Close to perfection and one of a kind. Make sure to check out the gallery. Via ISO50.

Un.titled has done a great job with the Meos site. I'm very impressed with how they manage to combine straightforward techniques and very few effects into such a brilliant piece of design. Excellent layout and use of images. Also, love the subnavigation.

In his attempt at instant world domination, Ole Martin Kristiansen aka @piraja has not only taken on a job at 45royale. He has also taken on the task of redesigning the Gitorious website for Shortcut. Why am I not surprised that he once again succeeds with flying colors? Beautiful details, wonderful structure and all in perfect harmony.

You should definitely check out some of the videos so you will truly grasp the genious of the resolution settings in the right hand column of the blog. Well done, Mr. Inman.

The first installment in Reagan Ray, Trent Walton and Dave Rupert's "The Many Faces Of..." project is out. This project was born out of a great love for movies and quality actors. Reagan's illustrations and design really makes it stand out. It's always great to behold pet projects like this one.

Humanstudio (a.k.a Human) is a creative agency consisting of a core studio team and an extended network of talent. Founder Nick Bax was previously a director of The Designers Republic. The studio's portfolio site is basically a grid of thumbnail images of various sizes. The navigation is intuitive and easy to use, though I'd love the previous/next links to be a bit bigger. The work on display is, of course, splendid. Via CssDsgn.

Mike Matas is a photographer and interface designer over at Apple. He just redesigned his photography blog. It is done purely in javascript, no Flash, and I'm not sure I can put into words how outstanding this site is. You really should take a look at this video explaining the interface of the new site. This is ground breaking, gorgeous, jaw dropping interface design. If you're interested in reading more about Mike, there's an interview with him over at Cocoia.
UPDATE: Gordon just pointed out in the comments that Mike doesn't work at Apple any more.
