If you're a web designer, this one's for you. Method & Craft is a new site filled with great content by big names in our business. And it's really pretty, too. Via Chris Coyier.

Climate Wisconsin is probably my favorite site from the first month of 2011. A very important factor behind my proclamation of love for this project is the way that high quality video productions are used throughout the site. If you're very talented and manage to combine video productions and web design of this quality you may get lucky and create a killer site like this one maybe once in a decade.

MailChimp recently launched a brand new site design. Overall I think this is very impressive. Especially the way they've managed to make something unique while at the same time keeping it clean and elegant. @obox has posted some criticism about the way they communicate what they do, and I partially agree with this. Still, a wonderful site design both visually and functionally. I have to take a look at the "logged in" view.

We Are Fixel is a small web agency you should keep an eye on. I don't care if they do great work and have a sweet portfolio. What really impresses me is the mind-bogglingly awesome "about" page. Make sure to take a look.

Illustrator, designer and writer Frank Chimero has made quite a name for himself. And deservedly so, if you ask me. He's given insightful lectures, written inspirational blog posts, not to mention having a portfolio to die for. He recently launched this elegant single page personal profile page.

Christopher Meeks' portfolio site makes use of a huge background image with a minimalistic and very focused interface. I'm in love with the way he's concentrated all the information into a small area in the middle of the screen. It has forced him to strip away everything that is unnecessary. A great, little site.

The sketchy world of Shyama (Rhymes with llama) Golden features many, many wonderful illustrations, paintings and designs. This impressive blog + portfolio + art boutique elegantly comes together in a way that is sure to attract many new fans. Count me in.

The "20 Things" site is very pretty, very well executed technically and all in all a very impressive package by Fi. But at the same time I can't help myself from hating the site a little bit for repeating many design antipatterns. iBooks is not a great interface for reading books. Flash is not a great interface for websites. To me it looks like those were the main inspirations for the design. To sum up my view: It's a cool site, but I hope this is not the future of the web. (I feel bad for being so negative about a site that I post here. Styleboost is all about inspiration, not trash talk. Still, I had to get this off my chest.)

Bobby Solomon's art/design/fashion/music blog Kitsune Noir has been a long time favorite of mine. The latest redesign not only changed all the visuals, but also changed the name. As Bobby points out, there were many reasons for doing this, but the most amusing one is the fact that an annoying French record label who puts out crappy mixtapes kept on threatening to sue him. He's also posted a write-up about the excellent new site design.

Lifetree Creative is the design studio of husband and wife duo Eduardo & Gedy Rivera. The latest redesign of their website is good stuff all the way. In fact I think it's one of the best examples of how to present a studio like this that I've ever come across. You can definitely see that they've paid attention to creating a good content strategy.
