In the words of Andreas Melvær, one of the developers: "We bought a lot of plywood some 40 meters of wooden beams, a birds house for the home icon, a folder for the portfolio icon, spray cans, paint, wallpaper and a lots of other stuff, the video tells the rest of the story."

Tim van Damme was one of the hottest web designers of 2008, and a couple of weeks ago he launched his redesigned blog. With a color scheme to die for and a layout to kill for, it's impossible to deny the droolworthyness of this blog. Spot on, if you ask me.

Another excellent production from 2008, Nike Sportswear's Make Something campaign is a true beauty. Not only does it contain a wealth of inspiration videos, but the presentation and design is spot on, too. A high quality campaign.

This webapp has a really, really nice interface. It works great and looks frickin' sweet. All the graphics and the colors are so delicious that I can barely resist eating them. Now I just need to read more books.

Product Planner is a beautiful site. But what's more is that with Product Planner you can view and create user flows, viral loops, etc. This is actually a useful tool for us web designers. It's quite basic stuff, but it's great to see how user flows are used around the web. Truly inspirational and wrapped into a neat little package.

The personal blog of two Norwegian students currently attending Sweden's world renowned Hyper Island. This kind of stuff makes me proud of saying that I'm Norwegian. Truly one of a kind. The use of illustrations in the design works perfectly, and the colors are priceless. All I can say is AWESOM-O.

This one is a neat example of a onepage portfolio featuring great graphics and colors. Just too bad that all the text is done as graphics. Why, I wonder. Via My3W.

Quality XHTML turns your PSDs into HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc. Their own XHTML/CSS site is perhaps a little bit over the top as far as using graphics in the designs, but it looks unusual and is very well done. Lots of flowers. Via My3W.

Online portfolio of Norwegian graphic designer Gjermund Rein Gustavsen and his studio Divensis Design. I know from experience that Gjermund is a very talented and determined designer who pays a lot of attention to the very smallest details. His brand new portfolio is a treat to behold, and my only issue with his site is the heavy load of the background image and logo is fixed. Go Gjermund!

Gene Smirnov is a Philadelphia based photographer who specializes in environmental portraiture, advertising campaigns and promotional music work. His brand new flashfolio invites the user to look through all his photos in a pretty package and a neat navigation. Nothing that couldn't have been done with javascript instead of Flash, but still a nice portfolio site. Via Computerlove.
