Make sure to take a good long look at this one. This is very, very well done. That's all.

We Are Fixel is a small web agency you should keep an eye on. I don't care if they do great work and have a sweet portfolio. What really impresses me is the mind-bogglingly awesome "about" page. Make sure to take a look.

Designer/illustrator celebrity Jon Hicks has designed a beautiful theme for WordPress and Tumblr. The fact that he went for a horizontally scrolling interface surprised me, but it works surprisingly well. It's great to see that it's possible to do something like that without making it too intricate and/or frustrating.

Christopher Meeks' portfolio site makes use of a huge background image with a minimalistic and very focused interface. I'm in love with the way he's concentrated all the information into a small area in the middle of the screen. It has forced him to strip away everything that is unnecessary. A great, little site.

If you've ever done any kind of development for iOS, you're very likely to have run into the excellent and free GUI PSDs Teehan+Lax have created for iPhone and iPad. Last week, the Canadian user experience specialists launched an iPad app for consuming the good stuff on Twitter in the best possible way.

I have seen countless services and custom made sites aiming to play the role of simple online business cards for its users. Very rarely do these stand out. I have also seen way too many creative sites that make use of splash screens, animations or other creative ways of annoying site visitors. Benjamin De Cock's site is both an online business card and makes use of a splash animation. Still, I find it so elegantly done that it actually works. Congrats to Benjamin for pulling this off without pissing me off.

ReprintMe aims to have us print calendars on our failed printouts aka misprints. A nice concept and a beautiful single page site to accompany it.

Image Mechanics is a two person mobile app development studio based in Sydney, Australia. They have done some unusual tricks with the website interface that I think are there to convince potential clients that they are truly intent on producing great mobile app experiences. I really like how they show off their process through the use of in-action photos.

Juanma Teixidó is not only a great friend of mine, he's also one of the best designers around. His latest venture is a brand new Design Studio simply called Teixidó. From following the progress of the site design on Dribbble, I've been very eager to see how it turned out. I definitely wasn't let down by the finished product. In fact, I find it to be one of the best designed studio sites of 2010. The identity is strong, it's extremely beautiful and they've also done a great job with the contents.

Lifetree Creative is the design studio of husband and wife duo Eduardo & Gedy Rivera. The latest redesign of their website is good stuff all the way. In fact I think it's one of the best examples of how to present a studio like this that I've ever come across. You can definitely see that they've paid attention to creating a good content strategy. Via Dribbble.
