Loïc Sattler's an accomplished designer/illustrator with a love for strong colors and lots and lots of details in his work. In addition to the work, I definitely like how he's laid out the footer area. Very easy to comprehend and still very unique.

Here's a website design that makes all-encompassing use of illustrative art with great success. Web Designer Wall is designed and maintained by Nick La, who also runs N.Design Studio and Best Web Gallery. The idea is to inspire. Via Shaun Inman.

Taking on the role of Nike recently, Microsoft has started delivering some of the most exciting Flash sites on the web. They're all very different and very creative and makes great use of the capabilites of Flash. If you're going to use Flash, you should go all the way like they're doing with this site. I also think they're taking the cheesy color scheme of Vista in a good direction with Surface.

Watch the latest Music Video from your favorite artists. Get up to date Celebrity and Music News. See episodes of your favorite MTV Reality Show. The redesigned MTV.com is now a completely different and much better user experience. Bringing in consultants like Dan Cederholm to make sure they're on the right track tells me that the team behind the new site knows what they're doing. Their theming system named MTV HATS makes sure that hot designers give the site a fresh and varied look and feel. This is a great online makeover of one of the biggest media institutions in the world. Refreshing stuff. Via SimpleBits.

Osaka, Japan based 3D-animator and designer of sorts Toshiyuki Kuwabara's portfolio is a wonderful site to add to the Styleboost directory. The layout and colors are outstanding. This goes for the 3D characters throughout the site. As much as I like this site, I would still rather see it done as a pure html/css site instead of all Flash.

This is the official site for BBC Good Food Magazine, where you can search for [quality controlled] recipes. It is not the most creative site I've encountered in my lifetime, but it sure is one of a few information-heavy sites that have a very clear [and beautiful] design profile. The bold use of colors, the great use of photos, the lovely tabs, the graphic details. It all works together to create a great user experience.

Toronto based Nick La's portfolio/blog/playground is an outstanding work on its own. It is a design that has a great deal of details and an amazing color scheme for such a clean layout. I only have one issue with this one; the ads. They seem cluttered and random, and take up way too much of my attention while I'm visiting the site.

Portfolio of New York based graphic and web designer, Tanya Merone is a classic one-page design where all the works are accessible from the same page. Clicking the thumbnails launches them elegantly through the use of Lightbox JS. What makes it stand out from other one-page designs, is the fact that it doesn't look like one at all. Instead it looks more like a blog design, and a beautiful one at that.

This is the most cpu-intensive site I can ever recall visiting. There's just so much going on, so much interaction, animation, audio and graphics jumping at you, that you can't not enjoy this rollercoaster-ride of a website. I don't understand much, but it sure impresses me on a few levels.

Chromazone is a digital imaging presentation agency as far as I can tell. They go back more than 20 years and look like pros at what they do. Their website is outstanding in two aspects. First of all, it is a beauty. Secondly, all the content is presented both in a highly accessible CSS + XHTML solution as well as in a parallel Flash interface. They're both delicious.
