Scott Robbin, a developer, and Naz Hamid, a designer made Interhoods. They've worked together for a while, and this site is a way for others to do the same — collaborate, find each other and make magic happen. Seriously beautiful execution of a wonderful idea. I'm eager to see where they're taking this next. Via Ryan Sims.

Very impressive work by the Get Satisfaction team. The Wheel of Satisfaction on the home page is especially awesome. I love how they made the site look very different from most Silicon Valley webapps. It's got tons of personality, and that's a good thing.

The tagline is 'A Couple That Loves to Create', and it really shows. Spectacular work by a husband and wife team working side by side. It's very rare for a portfolio to be this convincing.

WebExpo Prague is a Central European gathering of web enthusiasts taking place in Prague (obviously) in a couple of weeks. My favorite parts about this site: The big, bold navigation, the various overlays on the homepage photos and the clear focus on the contents. A job well done by Lukas Plihal, Jakub Bartásek and Vojtěch Bulant.

This Brit has been one of the most influential web designers over the past couple of years as far as pushing for more visually powerful and unusual layouts go. Some of his previous works are truly masterpieces in their own right. When most of the really exciting interface designs lately have been apps, Mike has kept on designing more traditional websites, but at the same time making these really exciting and dazzling at the same time. You should follow Mike on Twitter.

I'm sure all of you saw this one last week. After all, it's not very often that a browser manufacturer like Google teams up with a hot band like Arcade Fire and a star director like Chris Milk to create something as beautiful as this. This is truly cutting edge.

Qik's new site is a winner. I find their content strategy close to perfection, which shows through the way they show off what Qik is all about. Big, huge photos of their app in use, overlaid with the text "Share your life as it happens!" make it impossible to misunderstand. I'm guessing this design is very effective in getting new users to sign up. UPDATE: For some reason I thought MetaLab had designed this site. This is not the case, however. Apparently it's an in-house job.

Awesome* is a small team working only on projects involving JavaScript. I love the way they show off their skills via subtle visual details. Pretty awesome, indeed.

Serbian multi-talented designer Damjan Stanković has created an exceptionally good portfolio site. It is also obvious that this guy has some great industrial design concepts up his sleeve.

An Oslo based app development shop with a very Nordic look. Featuring beautiful mountains, the Northern Lights, lots of snow and great apps. The only thing I'd like to see changed on this site is the typography in the body text.
