Ed Merritt is a web designer with a love for web standards. He's based in both London and Bournemouth, where he seems to churn out some seriously yummy work. His own portfolio/blog is one of the best of its kind as far as clean information organization goes. It's both a information-filled beauty as well as being very simple to grasp.
The block at the top shouldn't appear a different colour. Under Firefox with Flash 7 (I'm using Linux, so stuck at this version for now), the headlines at the top of the page appear with a block of colour behind them. Trying it out through IE with a more recent Flash version, shows it correctly. (Though this has nothing to do with the style of the links, since they are not using the sIFR technique (http://www.mikeindustries.com/sifr/))
Awesome site , love the design!
This is a bit plain if you ask me. It's nice... but nothing more. This is like apples web site. Very good at its purpose but still....
Very clean, I like it!

Hey! I used that stockimage on bitscribe first!! ahh.. the pleasures of stock photography..
Now that my pulse i setteling again, the site is nice. The "bloggy" approach to showcasing. Not to keen on the bright background on some of the links, it works well at the top where det gradient also is bright as the gradient darkens it gets a bit noisy.
