The portfolio of product designers Lucy Nunn and Tobie Snowdowne is quite a gem. On first view I found it to be a bit plain but elegant. On a closer look, however, I came to notice how well the product designs were being displayed. The design of the site is centered around the tasty product shots. It's classic, beautiful and functional enough, even though its all done in Flash.
I really like it, but Johan, I don't get why you hate flash so much? (talking about "even though its all done in Flash.") sounds so negative. :)

Simple and elegant. The fact that it relies heavily on the product shots doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes the design just needs to get out of the way and let the work shine and with work like that it'd be a shame to have an overly-worked design. Great site.

My comment "...even though it's all done in Flash" is referring to "...and functional enough". I love what a lot of designers are doing with Flash. That's why there are so many Flash sites here on Styleboost. At the same time, Flash really isn't a great tool for making intuitive, usable, function-focused solutions. It can be done, but it's usually in spite of Flash, not because of Flash.
Smooth and delicious animations can be amazing, but most of the time I don't have the time and patience to go back to a mainly Flash-based site several times a day. Most of the sites I visit every day are made with a combination of CSS, XHTML and Javascript.
Still, I *love* what great designers can do with Flash, and Flash sites continue to amaze me.

Minimalistic and nice. I think, that's one of the best ways how flash should be used.

More Strong work from this designer, but this one is especially good.
He has a great sense of restraint in his design work, which I admire.
