Photographer Phillip Toledano's portfolio is sweet. What struck me first about this portfolio is the way it's made use of javascript instead of Flash to implement an unusual form of navigation. I'm not sure it works perfectly, but it's not far from it. I like the concept of free sideways scrolling for photos. What's more, the photos are amazing and there are some sweet wallpapers available.

For sure a sweet portfolio with simple and good navigation. But I was a bit annoyed about the fact that many of the images didn't fill the frame. The images in front or after disturbed the one in focus.

I really liked a lot of the photos, good composition and lightning. The site it self lacks a lot in the design department. The scroller does not work very well for displaying photos, like the previous post explained. The two typefaces do not work together. I also found it a bit annoying that I had to wait until all the photos had been loaded before I could view them.

Took a second to figure out the horizontal scrolling, and even then, it was difficult to center the photos and view them all in some sets. Definitly looks great, but is missing some function. (More than anything, the scrolling/displaying photos.) I disagree on the two types working together however, I think they work nice, with the ornate decor over the blended grey and white.

It looks gorgeous, but it has numerous usability issues that Chris and Ryan have already mentioned.

The photography is incredible yet I'm not very keen on the site for the same reasons mentioned above.
