Portfolio of New York based graphic and web designer, Tanya Merone is a classic one-page design where all the works are accessible from the same page. Clicking the thumbnails launches them elegantly through the use of Lightbox JS. What makes it stand out from other one-page designs, is the fact that it doesn't look like one at all. Instead it looks more like a blog design, and a beautiful one at that.
oh! i failed to mention the Resources she has thrown down on her site! Always wonderful to see :)
That one page portfolio system seems to work fine here again and underlines the fact you needn't many pages for information quality. The weak side of the site is the Illustration part : drawings are not very nice, and illustrator technique is a bit weak. It makes me think of a graphic designer doing his first steps in illustrator.
to be honest, I don't think this belong here...
#3: agreed :P although, everything is done elegantly, the work itself is .. i guess ... subpar
Everything is presented so nicely I can't help but like this site. Single-page designs don't usually impress me that much but this one is just too good.
Agree with #4. Although not that bad it is not really all that special. I don't think it belongs between all the real jewels posted on this site.
(This is only a vague hope someone might respond to this, but I figured this would be a good place to ask) I totally dig the lightbox thing shes got going on. I want to do the same thing on own site, but I've got Iframes. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to call lightbox from a link within an Iframe so that it opens in top window? (oh www.riversend.net.au if you wanna look at what I mean).
2Dylan Baskind: I am pretty sure, you've better find a javascript forum to ask such a narrow technology-related question. But in general, you can simplify the model of the page behavior by throwing away iframes and using div tags with 'overflow: scroll' instead. The cleaner markup you have the easier it will be to employ scripting on the page.
additionally: Dylan, http://www.huddletogether.com/forum/ that's where you can find help on lightbox.
well well, the first time i saw a styleboost recognition link (look at the footer). and then it is inside a everyday-blog-like portfolio- strange. i mean the works are nice but what exactly is outstanding in this one? the use of lightbox like www.stickylou.com like progressiveone.com like whatever... cause ajax is hip and helpful. what is next? the regular mad4milk moo-fx user? hm, come on!

Agreed, great use of the Lightbox. Especially, with the single page layout. Nice color pallet as well.
