Finally Oslo's own Yokoland have a home to call their own online. Their style is unique and their techniques are a joy to behold. Humor and cut-and-paste make their work some of the freshest in the world right now. They're not really web-designers, which I think shows from this website. Still, the site's got lots of personality, and speaks very well for the wonderful, wonderful works on display.
I don't want to be an old nag because I love Styleboost. But in the about section it says: "Styleboost is a gallery for showcasing beautiful web sites."
The work of Yokoland is excellent, love it, but the site is not that good, not very original, not all that special. Their work is shown using small not very crisp images on a very slow site with a poor flow.
My conclusion, great work, not so great website. And if Styleboost is about showcasing beautiful web sites this one should not be on it.
He, he. Your opinion is definitely valid, Bertje. And I kind of agree with you. Still, some of the sites I add to Styleboost are here mainly for their contents. Sometimes the contents are just too good to pass up. And when Yokoland are also located in Oslo, where I live and work myself, I think it's especially important to link it up, to show off what's cooking in these parts of the world.
That's ok Johan. I love to check that kind of work, so keep bringin'it on. Maybe one could argue that content is part of the site. So brilliant content can make a brilliant site.
Oh, and by the way, Styleboost is your site isn't it? So post what ever you feel like! :) I'll keep checkin'
I'll keep 'em coming if you keep on checkin' back.
This site maybe isn't cuttingedge, but at least you can see what it's about in a blink of an eye. Nothing bothers me more than waiting for a picture to upload, especially in a portfolio. At least you get an idea of their work after a few seconds and I think that's all that matters if you make such beautifull work as they do. So thanks to the webmaster for giving me an idea for my own portfollio-website.

The work is remarkable, but still, the website should be a better one. If one does not know their fame and previous work... the site doesn't help.
