Canadian developer/designer Jesse Bennett-Chamberlain recently explained in great detail how he redesigned the ExpressionEngine site. I think the job he has done with the site is highly inspirational and one to follow. The final product is an usability-wonder and a looker. My conclusion: Publish your universe with ExpressionEngine. Via Digital Web Magazine.
I wish Expression Engine had gone down the Wordpress route where it was totally free to use for anything including commercial.
I've tried about 8 CMS's and that was the only one that was easy to use in almost every area including templates.
I think it would waltz past the competition and become the most used CMS in the world if only it was free for commercial use.
ah, the new hype cms ;)
It's amazing how much difference a couple of icons can do to your webside. On the visual side I don't se anything special with this site except the icons. I thought Styleboost was all about style, not W3C..
I think the site is stylish and extremely beautiful.

Jesse Bennett-Chamberlain's job is awesome. You don't see that much detail and dedication often. For sure a remarkable outstanding peak in the glossy, aquatic, OSXesque mainstream.
Anyway, I do wonder how competitive EE is to other CMS solutions. Like many big ones (TYPO3, Joomla!) and more popular ones (MoveableType, WordPress) out there EE lacks of a convincing showcase. Personally i won't pay for something that will do the same as/ or merely less than the above mentioned.
