Perfect Fools makes Sebastien Foucan free run your text input as short video segments. A great little project that is seamlessly put together. The load isn't too heavy either, considering the amount of video transferred. Via The Designers' Monarchy.
I loved the idea. It was the smoothest interactive/video/multimedia thing that I've see.
But, it made me wait a while, then the actual action was really short and wasn't dynamically filmed. I would have loved to see some chasing camera moves; maybe the free-runner talking a bit before he starts. In the end it wasn't free-running, it was little clips of ballet.
They could have backed it up with some dynamic feeds of current free-running happening around the world.
This is the kind of thing which will drive interactive cable TV, but isn't quite what the web is on about.
Definitely stylish though, certainly belongs on styleboost.
The point of the website wasn't too clear here. I found it difficult to understand what I was doing on the website. The video playback was cool for the first couple of letters but then it became old. Overall, the website has a nice feel. I found it interesting to think how they made the letters change to the 3d images.
Nice execution but whats the idea... No idea. Why would anyone want to receive a movie of a guy jumping over letters?
I want to know what there other ideas were? Too much trust wasput in this idea. Poo
