I think this is the third redesign of purevolume™ that is featured here on Styleboost. While Ryan Sims has been in charge of the previous two, it's now time for Tyson Rosage to step up to the challenge. He does it with style. While this is no huge leap away from previous installments, it now feels more lightweight, a bit tighter and completely delicious. Once again, purevolume becomes an even better site.

Absolutely agree. Purevolume remains a solid example of great UX, planning, and design.

I think the branding has been over-simplified and while still very clean doesn’t give me the lasting impression. I think for purevolue this is a step backwards in terms of presenting more valuable content. All table items seem to contain too much whitespace. Also, the site design looks a bit unfinished. The gray buttons are a little hard to read; however, they have a very nice roll over.

The has definitely been simplified. However I think it’s been over simplified. Especially the branding, as James pointed out.
It’s become almost generic. The branding doesn’t tie in with the site.

Having not seen the previous two versions, I will say this design is certainly not perfect but I do not agree with Andrew or James. The current design is effectively using white-space - creating a clean and clear environment. The branding is quiet, yet carries elegantly throughout the site. Overall, IMO this is quite pretty :)

I have been an avid fan of purevolume for the last couple of years (my profile) and I must say they have stuck to their recipe, yet managed to take the user experience up a notch. Thumbs up.
