Despite being an extremely heavy load for a site of its kind, and being a webshop made in Flash, I'm loving certain aspects of this site. First of all, it's unusual navigation just works. I immediately understood how to find a garment and take a closer look at it. The close-ups work great, with the alpha transparency and all. Too bad it's such a heavy load and that it isn't done with jQuery. Flash feels much slower and less responsive. Despite my Flash-bashing, however, this is a great and outstanding webshop. I can only agree, jQuery would only make it waaay slower.

Despite the fact that this site is a bit sluggish - jQuery would hardly do better. Hi-res images take time regardless which technique you use. The performance and CPU workload of sites like this depends on the size of your browser window, your machine and especially the slightly untransparent programming skills and techniques. So I wouldn't dare to blame it on Flash. Out of the blue i would say it's due to a overweight of alpha blendings.
Overall i think it's a pretty site. I really like that they don't use any models and just focus on the products.
