The Next Web recently gave their site a nice big responsive overhaul. The result is one of the prettier news sites around. However, what I find more interesting are the moves they've made to make their content more easily accessible. Specifically I'm thinking of the now very simple main navigation, the big type, the well organized homepage, the clean article layouts, and so on. Main main takeaway from the redesign is that they tried — and succeeded — to make the site less overwhelming. This is something that very few news sites dare to do.
