Good work with the sharp 80's stuff!

 #2 Unknown User on April 1, 2003

when i saw the first samples I thought - terrible, but it became better. Some works were really cool.. Still, the site is very unpersonal with just the work, no info and even no contact info.

That's what I wrote him aswell...

'Some nice some ok but all in all I got a little impressed and inspired. Alot of Photoshop right?! (or maybe all?) Well just wanted to use the heart after having seen your work coz I felt like doing so!'

freeman, what kind of contact-information do you need? the e-mail address is avalible, do you need to know what kind of food does he/she like or how long is he? the site is great without any unneedable info, and i just love it.

it is simple, at that is the main oppurtunity, why many of the visitors like it, i presume. oh, good work :)

Give me a brake. What kind of low quality graphics with stupid design concepts are that?

 #6 Unknown User on April 1, 2003

Really like this. But the buttons are getting on my nerves, way too small! Give me huge next and previous buttons please!

 #7 Unknown User on April 2, 2003

Absolutly fantastic. Excellent work, quite stunning. Dont knoe this guy, but he/she is very good.

dear Johan Hammarman, what kind of low quality art.. ? are you sure, you know what _is_ art ? are you sure you know, what's good and what's not? please don't be so subjective about this page, look at the last works.

i think, you watched like 2-3 pictures from him and then you said "it sucks" oh my god. i'd say, that's the most terrible mistake to do.

and i'm not a relative to the author of this or something, i just think it's great!

Great work in photoshop - and I must say that I do like the navbar, abstract. I would like to see some more of this guy - ex a work when he really putt some time to his art, it feels like he stoped just when he was getting started in some of the pics. And lunatic are you the owner of the site??? You seem to be pretty indignant from all the criticism??? Atleast its almost always constructive criticism :D

 #10 Unknown User on April 2, 2003

no, i'm not really indignant about it, i just don't like to see people who say the work is bad without looking the entire site.

Love it!(Well at least most of it). A clever modern interpretation of retro-style. Very original. 4-stars from me.

 #12 Unknown User on April 6, 2003

tacky. it's not like they change your day. but they are ok for what they are. you can call them art, these days, because that word long ago lost its meaning. maybe it never had one. i think an important question is not what "is" art, but what is "not" art? art is everything you want to call it. if it isn't original it isn't going to interest me, not today anyway.

1984 *Literally* Screaming LOUDLY !

Interesting work, but I don’t feel that the artist has a good understanding of color. Perhaps color theory 101 would be a good class to take?

 #15 Unknown User on April 10, 2003

almost as good as the tarte au pomme they sell in my local boulangerie.

 #16 Unknown User on April 22, 2003

Interesting and attracted my eyes very much! Love their style and maybe improve abit in their typo will make the works more expressive with the coloured images!

 #17 Unknown User on September 23, 2003

In my opinion, this artist knows his/her colours inside out. Really inspiring work, free from circles and 45érs. Take for what it is - a creative playground, dont go moaning about concepts and "art". I visited this site since it started a few years back and i still love it, even if the updates are few.

Love the extruded effect on a couple of the samples... - does anyone know how this has been achieved?

 #19 Unknown User on October 7, 2003

I have to totally agree with Laurent. I'm surprised I haven't seen much 80's inspired digiart around, considering women's fashion (in the UK at least) is currently very much inspired by that era. I expect to see more of this yet "un-rinsed" style, which will be nice combined with great interactivity. So what ya waiting for eh? click on that illustrator icon! lol

That's what in France we call a parisian style. Not very novative, not to hard, "fashion" and "house music" influence. I understand why people can love that but im french, and I hate this style ! In Paris :-( (grrrrr) this style is everywhere in nightclubs, gay bars and tv shows, in places where people only think about what shine, money, and beautiful people. Sad and iritating !!! BEST JR

the works are beutiful . art direction at it's best

 #22 Unknown User on October 9, 2003

i think the images are great, i like the bright look. 80's style is in big here in California. get yourself a big pair of sunglasses and go with it. i think this is refreshing from the million sites that we saw in the 90's that were all that dark gray 'techno' look.

 #23 Unknown User on October 10, 2003

I really don't like 80's graphic, witch is kitsch when it comes for colour. Also that style of using the colour is more from the 70's, when the psychedelic posters and style going on.

I like the KillDeath poster and other few wich are more of a combination between photos and graphic. ***Yeah, now I'm sure she really uses psychedelic like graphics, using the rainbow gamma and fractal-like forms. That's more from the 70's.

 #24 Unknown User on June 30, 2004

Ok, now i've seen all the works. THIS is for sure NOT 80's but 70's and you can see that not only from the colours but also from photos and tilings over photos. You guys need to study some graphic design history. This is NOT tremendous work, i'm not mean, I like a few but it's just somebody else online portfolio. Go to design schools or read some books, damn it ! Love the CCMoney pic.
