VERY, VERY, VERY Great works... impressive!!!!

 #1 Unknown User on October 9, 2002

Excelent work, some of the best photos I've ever seen. I personally don't like the navigation, it's a little bit confused and desconstructive.

 #2 Unknown User on October 9, 2002

Sweet and sexy, thumbs up

 #3 Unknown User on October 9, 2002

Think the navigation is very hard to use, great pics!

 #4 Unknown User on October 9, 2002

Somewhat egocentric, but deffinately beutiful.

 #5 Unknown User on October 10, 2002

really nice layout, effects and great portfolio, but i agree: the navigation is really hard, like most of the firstborn's sites... :)

 #6 Unknown User on October 10, 2002

Great site. quite beautiful, navigation is not a clear as john-mark-sorum site, but this is definitly something different. Tasty piece of work, this is the kind of site that would have made me piss my pants if I'd seen it 2 years ago. good stuff. Thanks again sb

 #7 Unknown User on October 10, 2002

its obvious that this person left out the low bandwidth guys

 #8 Unknown User on October 10, 2002

smooth deep house vibes with jetset flair - luvit

 #9 Unknown User on October 10, 2002

WOW!! Truly beautiful, beautiful images and amazing sound loops chosen perfectly to accompany the sections. Very inspiring! One of the best sites I've ever seen. The whole site reminds me somehow of the Matrix movie.

 #10 Unknown User on October 11, 2002

Stunning piece of work! The flash is restrained and lets the images speak for themselves. Smooth, slick and very new. There isn't really a catch in this site like the johnmarksorum site, but there doesn't need to be because the photos are unlike anything i've ever seen. JMS's photos from what i remember were not too inspiring. what everyone remembers from that site was the slice effect. what everyone will remember from this one are the images!

 #11 Unknown User on October 11, 2002

Definately for hi bandwudth. I can't imagine seeing this site on a dial-up line! I thought the nav was original and entertaining. Very elegant site with some great content. Just what I need to see this time of the year.

 #12 Unknown User on October 11, 2002

beautiful site. gorgeous imagery.

 #13 Unknown User on October 11, 2002

Yep - gorgeous images but SHIT navigation

 #14 Unknown User on October 11, 2002

i dunno why everyone's bitchin' 'bout the nav. i thought it was simple and sweet- nuthin' overly fancy but definitely functional and easy.

yup- the site's a knock-out! amazing music and photos. how can u go wrong with that kind of content.

 #15 Unknown User on October 11, 2002

wonderful work. very aurally and visually striking piece!

 #16 Unknown User on October 14, 2002

kinda unuseable!

 #17 Unknown User on October 14, 2002

WOW! I'm left literaly speechless. Breathtaking!

 #18 Unknown User on October 14, 2002

yes. breathtaking!

 #19 Unknown User on October 14, 2002

great photographs. nice effects. but definitely for hi bandwidth. i'm on a 2mb/s line and it was chugging along... overall very nice work.

 #20 Unknown User on October 15, 2002

How the @#$# you expect anyone to deliver this kind of content over a low bandwidth line??? Obviously this site was designed for hi speed users in mind. I'm sick of hearing people posting shit about speed issues. If you're in the design community and you're on dial-up- you've got problems! Don't bitch about great sites because your machine can't handle it. Get with the program.

 #21 Unknown User on October 15, 2002

OVERKILL!!!!!!!!!!!!

 #22 Unknown User on October 15, 2002

So I guess we all just make these sites for our wanker design friends on high speed lines? You are so elite, man, so ELITE!

I like the site though, but this is inoptimization gone amok. 300k for a still picture? Hmm.

 #23 Unknown User on October 16, 2002

yup, although i love this site i gotta agree with the optimization bit. i hope this doesn't set a precedence. however- i think there's something screwy about the laoding. i really don't think the files are that big. although it says 300k, it loads awfully quick for a 300k file on my line. i think those numbers are out of whack. nevertheless, a very slick, hi quality site.

 #24 Unknown User on October 16, 2002

It was one of those days that I needed a site to deliver that sort of content and in such a great way. Although it was hard to wait for it to download, the end result was a truely "TASTY" experience. The quality of sites like this is of upmost importance for someone like me who would love to see more like it.

 #25 Unknown User on June 24, 2003

comment to fray: fray you are wrong. 1. the sites posted here are not meant to be shown only to the design high society, these sites (i hope so) are made for everyone. 2. not everyone who´s interested in design has a highspeed connection just because in some part of the world there´s still no high bandwith available. and remember, i don´t know where you´re place is, but some people are not as fucking rich as you are. by the way: very nice website

 #26 Unknown User on June 24, 2003

Superbe work. Slick presentation and mad flash skills. Every kB downloaded was worth the wait. Some spectacular photography and groovy music. Luv'd it. cheers

 #27 Unknown User on June 24, 2003

Firstborn have done it again. This is the follow-up to Yigal Azrouel. Spectacular! Although I agree that sites should cater to the largest possible audience, it's impossible to deliver quality & content of this nature without sacrificing a part of the audience. If you are going to design a Mercedes you know only a certain portion of the population can afford it. Same thing I think applies to these hi-end sites. Impossible to make everyone happy.

 #28 Unknown User on June 24, 2003

whoa! killer site... :)

 #29 Unknown User on June 24, 2003

great photography. more sites like this please...

 #30 Unknown User on June 24, 2003

this site was awesome to start with... now it's just INCREDIBLE!! elegant, clean, confusing, creative, sexy, beautiful and most of all smoooooth!!! hot site. i love the girl who takes my picture. wonder if she'll send me a copy... :)

 #31 Unknown User on June 24, 2003

Gorgeous photography! A left/right brained genius...how wonderful. The navigation for his picture portfolio was a bit unusable though, other than that great work.

 #32 Unknown User on June 25, 2003

nice job.

 #33 Unknown User on June 25, 2003

love it

 #34 Unknown User on June 25, 2003

funky, chunky and oh sooo lovely...

 #35 Unknown User on June 25, 2003

Whatever Sacha Biyan considers himself, his work speaks for itself. This site is so clean it makes me feel dirty. Think I'll go take a shower now. On the negative side didn't appreciate how CPU sensitive this site is. Is the chick supposed to walk out in slo mo? Or is it my machine?

 #36 Unknown User on June 25, 2003

i'd like to reiterate a great post made by mr. jack henry on another site... "buy DSL or cable, or die..."

well said mr. henry.

 #37 Unknown User on June 25, 2003

With my 56k connection I'am used to waiting long. But this site stopped loading at 61%. That's annoying! And Fray: when you develop a site for highbandwidth-users only, it's part of the deal that you get irritated feedback from lowbandwidth users like me!

 #38 Unknown User on June 25, 2003

wow! really great works. thanks

 #39 Unknown User on June 26, 2003

What an achievement. To comprehensively coin every bad webdesign cliché there is; all in one site. The 'interesting' background noise / ambient beats. The 'clever' nav that takes 5 mins to figure out. The minimum 3 minute wait for the download… Outside the designer's broadband cocoon, the real world operates on dial-up. Accept it. Deal with it. And while you're doing that, check out KurtNoble and see some really good design, that actually works.

 #40 Unknown User on June 27, 2003

Wow love that photo nav style it looks easy but it's a good idea and that lacks on many websites! don't loose your ideas guys hope you got millions of those ready to rock us!

 #41 Unknown User on June 27, 2003

fantastik... :)

 #42 Unknown User on June 27, 2003

Very unique logo, although maybe it seems to convey the mid 1990's? The photographs are wonderful and the background colour is perfect as it drives the eye to the photographic worx.

 #43 Unknown User on June 27, 2003

Beautifull site, but extremly senseless navigation.

 #44 Unknown User on June 29, 2003

A truly magnificent site, that encourages exploration!

 #45 Unknown User on July 1, 2003

Hey Fray, no need to get nasty. Part of being a good designer means taking into consideration issues such as bandwidth and such. It's not about "getting with the program". Like it or not bandwidth and connection speed are issues to be taken into account.

You can have a cool site but if i can't see it because it takes too long to load, then what you want to say with your design is lost. Keep that in mind when you're cranking out masterpieces

 #46 Unknown User on July 2, 2003

slick shit!!!

 #47 Unknown User on July 3, 2003

Without a doubt one of the most amazing photographers around!

 #48 Unknown User on July 5, 2003

Great site! made my whole day and i'm returning to it over and over again to revisit the experience. It's ridiculous to complain about the need for bandwidth. Move with the times- we need faster computers and more bandwidth... Did Biyan's creative team design the website themselves or was it outsourced?

 #49 Unknown User on July 8, 2003

A true inspiration for flash users. Photography like this has to be represented on the web the best quality it can reasonably be, hence the file sizes(anyone moaning surely must have eaten some sour grapes). So they've gone down the broadband road - there is no other route with imagery like this (yes I'm on a standard dial up). As for the the loops on this site they really unify the design as a whole. Beautifully done.

 #50 Unknown User on July 11, 2003

it's all?(1mb)==> it's empty empty... 8-X

 #51 Unknown User on July 15, 2003

great site, check out the lucid section for some wicked photography. Very nice.

 #52 Unknown User on July 18, 2003

This site rules! Great work and alot of it as well I'm sure! I only have one request.......send the chick to me at the start of your web page!....lol......I'll pay for the shipping and handling! :P Keep up the good work man! :)

I love eccentris! Sacha's photos are probably some of the best I've ever seen. I have to agree about the navigation beeing a bit comfusing though.

Everyone who enjoys those photos should check Sacha's Earth Pilgrim project at www.sachabiyan.com
