Will Weyer of Atlanta has done a great job putting together this slick website. The seamless implementation in Flash is a pleasure to the eyes as it comes alive on your screen.
fresh site
To be honest I think it's pretty crap. Well not crap par se, but it doesn't rock my world...
Well finally one that talks my language hehe. Yep me to i'd say it's [ok] but not more than that. I like the portfolio menu a little bit! except that the balls jump behind the menu is not so cool they could have put it a little lower...
this site has some nice effects to it, but it is visually unattractive (for a portfolio!), technically unoptimised (no progressbar...) and the navigation is about the most *original* i can think of. The whole thing looks to me like a puzzle of prefab objects and scripts.
Sometimes, i feel like Link Indexing Sites only choose to link a site because it has been linked up by so many others before. Or else, please tell me the reason! disappointed.
I saw this posted somewhere else, and I'd forgotten about it. Looking at it again I still get the same reaction. Initially you think it looks a bit run of the mill ( the spheres make me think "1998"). But when you open a few of the sections up it gets interesting. The movement is nice too. I like it but I reckon anyone who gives it a quick look will see the initial screen and think "Hmm. Don't really like that much" and move on which is a shame.
Fresh flash sites need fresh ideas and here's one, more or less, fresh... to be honest I have to say that this site is a bit too fancy. The balls are just terrible, but very nice idea. I wonder what this site looks like when yo view it with 800x600 resolution... mess
i prefer styleboost because 95% of the sites don't look like 95% of the pixel-font-extravaganza that exists at most other (look, we all look alike, so we get posted!) portals. That style has been done to death (for years now) by k10k and their ilk. I personally like the typography (mostly) of this ball-nav site... The nav is different - a little too much so. 3.
So great to see these comments about the site. Good and the bad. Interesting to hear thoughts on the front end look... , it is an invite to see if you want to dive in, but I like to see what everyone gets from it. Good night.
Well I have to bring it out. It has such potential. This would be a site that I would love when I first made and then trash to do it again. Take it down and bring it out. Web design is art just as much as painting. Feel like an artist but don't forget - Never fall in love with your work. Well enough of my rambling. Work on it. It's not there yet. -M
