DieselStyleLab's latest cltohing collection for spring and summer this year is now available online. The clothes are wrapped in a mysterious package (i.e. website) that leaves much to the imagination. Nice use of the web.
what's this all about. This is the first time I've seen anyone using those buttons that Flash uses as a tutorial. They're horrible, and even more so with a site like this. They don't even seem to do anything. I love experimental navigation, but I'm stumped by this one?????????
Well, I´ve expected more from Diesel than this. The sounds are horrible!
Unlike other people. I quite like this. It has a very different style and approach to navigation. But I would agree the buttons are nasty.
i like it! normally you couldn't pull off using the flash tutorial buttons....but this site does. regardless of whether they are tutorial buttons or not, they are tight because they're the old school arcade button.
Dont want to go on about those buttons but - those buttons eh? I bet someone got paid loads for using something that comes already built as a sample in flash. I cant believe they had the cheek to do that..
Didn't really think much to the rest of the site - I know diesel's advertising is often 'a bit different' but this is just low quality...
this site is for the public not just designers who know about the tutorial buttons in flash... they look good here and only someone who has used flash would know what they are, so whats the problem? --Design isn't just for designers!--
hmmmmm....stupid?
I would just like to say to Slim, well done mate. Poss one of the most important single comments so far.
yup, I agree, I expected much more from Diesel, the site itself seems to lag when you hit the buttons, and the background MC of those flashing graphics gets to be a little much after a while.
Yeah, this site is for the public and not designers, but the navigation is slow and often baffling. Those buttons may not be known to non designers, but they look awful on this site, they would look good on an old school vector game. Designers are people too (!)and are still not impressed
Old school vector game? maybe the designer of this site tries to steer away from the obvious? hey now theres a good idea!
I dont understand what everyone else hangups on teh buttons are, they seem fine to me. I do have to disagree thou, this is not a site for anyone but designers, the usability is so far from normal/acseptable that it so v.poor it would take a designer to know that the colourd blocks that apear then disaper one by one are actualy loading bars. the 'content' (well a single picture with a transition) loads behind other elemnts on the page.

wow, common library flash buttons. it amazes me that a company paid for this. once again, wow.
hhhmmmm....I don't know what is wrong with you guys. I really like this. I have not seen anything like this on the web. It's harsh and hilarious with those old judges sitting behind them looking so out of place and talking bad about the clothing pieces like you guys are talking about this site. But it also hints elegance with it's fashion and classical music. I think you guys sadly miss the idea behind this.
Can't say I lked it, for a lot of the same reasons mentioned. But I kept on clicking, its sort of hypnotic.
