Your favorite news provider / designer forum is redesigned. Although generally sticking to the familiar layout, Folkert and his companion quorporates have changed the colors, sounds and some details over at Newstoday®.
The light grey text on a grey background is virtually unreadable. Apparently these guys were ditching during the color theory section of their design classes. Or perhaps it's some kind of über-elite rebellious thing.
I was also removed from the editors list, but I am not sore. A refresh of the editors may be necessary to get a varied perspective. I am also not bothered by some descriptive commentary with each link. I'd rather have some background information instead of blindly clicking on everything that's posted. The quality of this information does, of course, vary by author.
I agree that the text vs background contrast is too low in the redesign.
i couldnt agree more with the comments made. the grey text is way to hard to read. a few days after the relaunch, i brought this up in the public section and was told by a ntb to adjust my monitors contrast. the clean design is great, but with the light grey text this site is useless to me.
the loght orange on grey is even harder to read than the grey

Total let down when I saw this highly hyped new version. It's a eyesore to look at and now the editors write a whole book on each link they post. Plus, the best editor for links, Thinkmule was booted off the NTB.
