I understand this impresses the hell out of ppl, but this really isn't that fantastic. The flash is way too heavy and very simple, the navigation poor, the 3d is pretty lame when it comes to lightning, texturing and animation, and the motion gfx is pretty straightforward after effects. However, it's not too often you see someone that has a pretty good grasp at all these things! I'm just hoping ppl soon will appreciate great design. not effects.

Has anything changed since it was released last time besides the intro? What's up with waiting a while for a section to load, to click a link to load another section, click a link there and then get the "Coming Soon" screen that's been up there for months. The 3D is cool, but there's virtually no content. And the intro just seems a tad egotistical (and the fact that there's no content except "About me."

yes this is a great site...hehehe

 #4 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

It's amazing someone can get this much recognition with a site that is partially done. Great job Billy!

 #5 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

I've been watching Billy for a long time. The site is not done though. I was thinking since it was posted it was finished. Nope. It's pretty much at the same state it was months ago, except with the movie title intro. "One Man's Mind", umm, I hope that is suppose to be funny. I'll visit again and check to see when it's finished. I'm sure he's busy doing projects that pay money. But I would like to see some portfolio work.

There's a lot of work in this website. All the 3d render and the flash integration must have been a pain in the *ss. Great site :)

great stuff...

 #8 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

this site is over a year old and doesn't seem to have changed since it launched..

 #9 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

I love it...but you have NOT proven to deliver anything in the different media categories yet ;-)

 #10 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

if you like to see good implemented 3d, this is a fine example. but if you´re looking for innovative graphic and art this isn´t worth a look. i´m interested in second.

I'm sorry to see this featured on styleboost. Billy Bussey's website has been around for a very long time and still it lacks content. Very nice 3D work and some very nice animation, although still one of the most over-rate websites I have ever come across. Time for a change..

 #13 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

I remember this one.. and like other here say i see that it hasnt been updated sience the last time a saw it, witch was ages ago

 #14 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

Wish I could see it! Keeps crashing my browsers!

 #15 Unknown User on July 14, 2004

First, his 100% onanistic intro, talking about one man's vision for a 3d internet, made me laugh. Okay, so we know he's pretentious now, but what about the art, and this 3d internet, concieved ONLY by the imagination of this one man... Well, just looks like some outdated techno-babble design, strung together with some 3d rendered transitions, and imported into flash. The style is so old, and the ego is so laughable.

Yellow shirt? yech.

 #17 Unknown User on July 15, 2004

Ok it pretty, but I hate this kind of flash site.. it not flash make it cool, but the imported video in it.. my rate flash skill 10% video 80%.. :( thumb down..

This guy is good in motion graphics, that's for sure. But either he has a dominant girlfriend now, or he's too busy doing work for others. (Billy, I hope it's the last option). I'm also one of the people who saw this quite a time ago, being not finished. And now, only the intro is added. Too Bad.

Still, I'm very curious to see his next website...but finished!

 #19 Unknown User on July 16, 2004

come on, it's depressing. i'm sad to see this here on styleboost. "one of the most frequently submitted sites" ? the style of design is so dated and played out. just embarrassing to see huge ego of the designer all over the site.

 #20 Unknown User on July 20, 2004

The fact that his intro states he had a dream about 3d navigation and revolutionary ideas. His site was quite a dissapointment. Cause it has the same navigation as every other site.

without that comment it looks ok

 #21 Unknown User on July 22, 2004

sorry but this sort of site doesnt do anything ofr me, theres no point to any of it.. its complete narcicism which i cannot condone. look at the Scott Schiller site, now thats talent, not all this over the top crap. sorrymate but if it takes you that long to finish your own site then its not much of an advert for the turn around on this sort of site, other have updated their sir ite 10 times since you put this up

 #22 Unknown User on July 23, 2004

Guys, that site is amazing! that animations.. the navigation rlz. that will be 5 stars for me.

 #23 Unknown User on July 25, 2004

I love the 3D and that movie at the beginning. It's really clever.

 #24 Unknown User on July 28, 2004

Yeah! I'm pumped up! Nice 3D work. Very "Hollywood." -- I can imagine clueless entertainment-types and average Middle-Americans drooling over it. As much skills as he has though, his typography is pretty underdeveloped.

 #25 Unknown User on July 30, 2004

thanks for the comments guys :)

I haven't finished the site due to client work, but hopefully soon. Maybe it is time to just start over.

I'd hoped that people would realize the "3d dreams" thing is a pun on movie trailers, but oh well.

Gratuitous Plug Alert! ... Billy is one of the featured designers in our new book, New Masters of Flash: Volume 3

Wow. Awesome that bb.com made it up on styleboost. I was a little ashamed to read some of the comments here. All this talk about how its not that impressive and totally over rated. Its like a band that just got a big record deal, and all the other bands from around are mad cause they sold out. If its not that special of a site? then why isnt a site this talked about/drooled over pumped out into the public more often? B...mad props from me!

 #28 Unknown User on August 19, 2004

bb's been playing to many video games afaic; no crit on the execution (at least for the intro) but it's not my cup of tea - having a finished prod would be good too...

 #29 Unknown User on August 24, 2004

cool, but lag is fucking hard ! so my com was crazy :o

 #30 Unknown User on January 7, 2005
