I'm sure all of you saw this one last week. After all, it's not very often that a browser manufacturer like Google teams up with a hot band like Arcade Fire and a star director like Chris Milk to create something as beautiful as this. This is truly cutting edge.

"A unique and affordable web design conference in the heart of England" is a tagline that I'm finding it very easy to like. What's even better, the conference site is yummy and features some great CSS3 features.

Portuguese web designer Ricardo Mestre calls Duplos his "web thingie". I call it a masterpiece. It really is. The site is basically one big animated poster. It's super beautiful, quite unusual (for a website) and surprisingly intuitive to grasp. The animated details work really well.

As part of a university project, Chris Armstrong has created this wonderful single page website for a fictional conference. The background effect (it works in webkit browsers, at least) alone is worth a listing here on Styleboost. It's a damn good page showcasing a conference I really wish was the real deal.

The Norwegian Gateway College, located across the globe, recently got a sweet profile + site design courtesy of Creuna. The folding letters and numbers are superb. The same goes for the rest of this sweet package. Lovely stuff from Norway. Sorry, Norwegian language only. However, you may translate the site with Google Translate. Via Webdesignmagasinet.

Huh? Two Flash sites in a row. I must be crazy. Wrangler's latest campaign offering features some truly mesmerizing elements. Each photo is in fact an interactive video that may be played forward or backward. What's amazing about this is the fact that you pull on the clothes, and how this makes you feel. It just works perfectly. Via @inahill. (The downside with Flash sites like this one is, as always, the awful, constant 100% CPU usage.)

Carsonified's work with the site to accompany the first official Twitter developer conference is top notch. The hand-drawn style is the main attraction on this site. However, the lovely tweak of the original Twitter color scheme combined with the subtle webkit-animations and the large type makes for a quite spectacular visual experience. This site is spot on and full of character.

All the animated details and hovers make this one stand out from the crowd of freelance designer portfolios. The typography is great, too. A very nice find by @hiemil.

I love the approach IGN has taken to the task of convincing advertisers. This is a great example of how to do something bold, different, beautiful and (I assume) successful. Brilliant. Via Drawar.

Discover the new Lacoste Collection by Christophe Lemaire. Fashion, sneakers, super slim fits, colorful styles, 60's inspired, etc. There's funky music and a lot of slow motion video to be had. As a campaign site for clothes, this site works really well. Cool stuff. Still, those kids don't seem like people I would enjoy hanging out with.
