Bryan Veloso is back again with yet another complete makeover of his world renowned Avalonstar. Once more he manages to blow my mind with stunning graphics and a truck load of coolness. Bryan is paying more attention to little graphical details than even Steve Jobs' posse. However much I like his designs, though, I still wish Avalonstar would be a little more clearly organized visually. That is, a little less cluttered. It may just be me, but I'm having a hard time finding my way around this beauty.

Juanma Teixidó's Ten Thousand Things is a blog filled with webdesign, XHTML CSS, books and a few other things. Juanma is Paraguay's finest web designer (among other things), located in Asunción. Juanma recently won Veerle's What is graphic design poster competition, which is how I rediscovered this gem. Through his work for NOS/SUM, Juanma has done some spectacular work.

Dan Cederholm just gave his world famous SimpleBits a brand new coat. It's the same but it's different. The latest realignment by Dan is my favorite version to date. He manages to keep a lot while changing it quite radically. This time he's going for an elastic grid that scales beautifully in my browser. This has to be one of the most impressive site designs I've ever seen. Via Shaun Inman.

A perfect minisite for selling (at the moment) only one WordPress theme, called News. It's got a style and level of details reminiscent of something Apple could have had their hands on. Still, this is no Apple copycat. It's got an attitude of its own, courtesy of Bence Kucsan, a Hungarian designer working out of Vienna, Austria. Via Screenfluent.

Bombia is a small Swedish agency that specializes in beautiful, pixel perfect icon and web design. I'd sure love to hire these guys to help me out with an upcoming project, as their attention to details and quality is world class. Their recently redesigned site runs on ExpressionEngine and is one of the most deliciously pretty tabbed designs I've seen. Ever.

I know this is waaaaay late to add this site, as this year's Blog Action Day was on October 15th. Still, I just realized that I forgot to add this stunning, timeless piece of beauty to the Styleboost database. One of my favorite sites of 2007. The colors, the logo, the separation of contents, the statistics, the project idea. I love it all. It's so simple and works so well.

Not only did Lokesh Dhakar develop the beautifully simply Lightbox JS script. He has also crafted a blog design that strips it all down to a flat greyscale design that contains no interface graphics. The only graphics on this site are images to accompany the blog posts. Everything else is CSS, markup and text. Very impressive.

Made in ENGLAND by Gentlemen is made by Simon Cook who is very proud of his big moustache. This is essentially his blog where he feeds us with fun and interesting stuff, including some wonderful desktop images. The design is highly detailed and the color scheme is to die for. There's a lot that's worth looking at/reading here, too. Make sure to take a look at the favicon in Firefox!

Norwegian developer/designer/photographer Tobias Baeck has just mashed up his various online presences into one powerful package. Strong Flickr photography, a great logo, tons of del.icio.us links, Virb, LinkedIn, etc. Essentially Tobias' blog has great attitude and stands out from your average blog. Via Web creme.
