This site is a real gem. It is an almost mind-blowing way of delving deeper into old NASA missions. The site features original transcripts, NASA photographs, visualizations and stats. If you like this site, you really should read about how and why /dev/fort developed the site and even consider contributing on GitHub.

Image Mechanics is a two person mobile app development studio based in Sydney, Australia. They have done some unusual tricks with the website interface that I think are there to convince potential clients that they are truly intent on producing great mobile app experiences. I really like how they show off their process through the use of in-action photos.

Needless to say, ultra hot Paravel has done it again. Lake Wapogasset is actually a family of four camps with the same spiritual mission. I think @trentwalton, @davatron5000 and @raygunray have done a very impressive job of joining these camps together without taking away their individuality. What's more, since I'm an atheist, I've set the bar extra high for religious websites to be posted here. No, not really. That was supposed to be a joke. Lake Wapogasset is a very beautiful site. Paravel has also written a post about the process.

The "20 Things" site is very pretty, very well executed technically and all in all a very impressive package by Fi. But at the same time I can't help myself from hating the site a little bit for repeating many design antipatterns. iBooks is not a great interface for reading books. Flash is not a great interface for websites. To me it looks like those were the main inspirations for the design. To sum up my view: It's a cool site, but I hope this is not the future of the web. (I feel bad for being so negative about a site that I post here. Styleboost is all about inspiration, not trash talk. Still, I had to get this off my chest.)

Juanma Teixidó is not only a great friend of mine, he's also one of the best designers around. His latest venture is a brand new Design Studio simply called Teixidó. From following the progress of the site design on Dribbble, I've been very eager to see how it turned out. I definitely wasn't let down by the finished product. In fact, I find it to be one of the best designed studio sites of 2010. The identity is strong, it's extremely beautiful and they've also done a great job with the contents.

Bobby Solomon's art/design/fashion/music blog Kitsune Noir has been a long time favorite of mine. The latest redesign not only changed all the visuals, but also changed the name. As Bobby points out, there were many reasons for doing this, but the most amusing one is the fact that an annoying French record label who puts out crappy mixtapes kept on threatening to sue him. He's also posted a write-up about the excellent new site design.

Lifetree Creative is the design studio of husband and wife duo Eduardo & Gedy Rivera. The latest redesign of their website is good stuff all the way. In fact I think it's one of the best examples of how to present a studio like this that I've ever come across. You can definitely see that they've paid attention to creating a good content strategy. Krillbite is an indie game development studio based in Hamar, Norway. My favorite parts about the site are the illustrated details, the typography (even though the body text is a tad tiny), the use of colors, the highlighted navigation items (great touch) and the humor.

Irrland is a science/art project by Sebastian Waters und Patrick Beser taking place all over Ireland. This is also the most ambitious and experimental design of a Tumblog I've ever seen. The interface isn't perfect, but it's well worth a closer look. They've done some wonderful work in the details.
