Mavic is a french manufacturer of high-end bike systems and rider’s equipment. The site demands very high bandwidth, but the reason for this is the fact that they're showing off very high quality close-ups of their products. This is exactly the right thing to do in a situation such as this. They are selling expensive gear to pros and high-end enthusiasts who are likely to be very picky and therefore very interested in knowing exactly what they buy. I also love that they've put the logo at the bottom right.

Cognition is Happy Cog's space for sharing thoughts on design, experience, code and more. Even though the design of the site is very well done with a great color scheme and wonderful navigational aspects, the most outstanding part of the site is the way they've implemented Twitter as the main interface for article comments.

Bureau is Thibaut Sailly's UX blog. The site is beautifully designed, making great use of white space and a fluid design that responsively adapts to browser width. Awesome, inspirational stuff.

Lilly's Table is basically a paid subscribtion food recipe newsletter. The website does a great job of convincing me that this is high quality stuff (i.e. delicious food). I think the call-to-action could have been a tiny bit less cluttered, but there is no denying that this is a very beautiful little site. Via Rebekah Cox.

My two favorite things about the Google TV site are a) the unusually dark color scheme for a site like this one, especially coming from Google, and b) the awesomely executed focus on the contents, making it very compelling to have a closer look at what this technology is all about.

The fourth awesome redesign in a row here on Styleboost. High fives all around! I love how the design team has focused on Square in use in real situations. The way the illustrations come alive is breathtaking. Superb! Via Dribbble.

With a brand new Digg and a hot new Think Vitamin, it's obvious that I should also post my favorite site redesign ever which is #newtwitter. I absolutely love what Vitor Lourenço, Doug Bowman and Zhanna Shamis have done with the site. So many people much smarter than me have weighed in on the new design already, and almost everybody seems to love it. Especially the fact that it feels so much like a desktop app. Read more about the Twitter redesign over at Quora.

The recent Digg reboot has gotten quite a bit of bad press recently, and I don't disagree with most of criticism. Judging by the user uproar and the bad numbers, it's easy to see that this complete rethinking of the service and user interface isn't a huge win for Digg. Still, I find the new site has a quite beautiful user interface. They've also managed to shave off many of the different elements, which is a good thing. It's also much more responsive now, and they've also done cool stuff like this.

The new Think Vitamin has given the site a great boost to the user experience side of things. The use of white space is hot. The same goes for the typography and the color scheme. I'm also very impressed by how beautiful they have made the Disqus comments look. If you like the site, you should read about the new site on Think Vitamin.

Scott Robbin, a developer, and Naz Hamid, a designer made Interhoods. They've worked together for a while, and this site is a way for others to do the same — collaborate, find each other and make magic happen. Seriously beautiful execution of a wonderful idea. I'm eager to see where they're taking this next. Via Ryan Sims.
