Simple, elegant and beautiful. My favorite part about this one is the transitions in the main showcase window on the homepage.

This is not the first time I'm extremely impressed with the design of Joyent's website. Once again they manage to pull off a great website redesign. And make no mistake, this is no realignment. This is a huge leap. Truly beautiful with great information architecture and readability.

The employees of Norwegian studio Klipp og lim love attending festivals of all kinds. That's why they have created this minisite, which is basically a targeted offer to festivals in need of beautiful design on a very low budget. A great idea that is perfectly executed as a single page. Unfortunately, this site is in Norwegian only.

In his attempt at instant world domination, Ole Martin Kristiansen aka @piraja has not only taken on a job at 45royale. He has also taken on the task of redesigning the Gitorious website for Shortcut. Why am I not surprised that he once again succeeds with flying colors? Beautiful details, wonderful structure and all in perfect harmony.

@happycog's brand new publishing venture launches it's first book, and with it a wonderfully simple text-focused website. The typography is great. Whitespace is excellent. Lovely typgraphy. What's not to like?

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey is back with another buzz-worthy service. This time around he's launching a mobile payment startup that allows the iPhone to accept credit card payments. As the iPhone app went live a short time ago, Square also launched a revamped website courtesy of inhouse designer Robert Andersen (fun fact: The last time I wrote about Robert here on Styleboost, I accidentally referred to him as Booby).

Another great Norwegian site design was just released. I find this design to be a great accomplishment, as they've managed to make it memorable while at the same time making the text very easily readable. They've also done some great content and design decisions that I think will provide them with a lot of new clients. Unfortunately, this site is in Norwegian only. Simple, beautiful and effective.

I believe there are many aspects that set the Swedish music streaming service Spotify apart. One of these aspects is the design. And no, I'm not just referring to the interface of the software application itself, or just the brand. I also think they've done a great job with the website itself, and I would be very curious to see conversion rates of for instance Rhapsody and WiMP compared to Spotify's.

Sommerfesten, a small Norwegian festival with a small but wonderful site (Norwegian only, I'm afraid). We Make seem to be churning out some of Norway's finest little websites one after another these days.
