Hello there! I am co-founder at Bakken & Bæck, a digital design consultancy in Oslo, Norway. We're available for work. Check out our website →

Work is a world class branding and product design team located in the heart of Oslo. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that they are passionate about their work. They also have the skills and resources to do incredible work for their clients. The site is clean and elegant throughout. My favorite part is how well they communicate their work through the use of big photos, their love for their craft, as well as the fact that they're in it for the long haul.

Two Create is an award winning multidisciplinary design agency offering a full range of client services from art direction, branding, spatial and product design to packaging and print. I love the refined elegance of this clean and simple portfolio. The site was designed by Sam Dallyn.

SDG is one of Norway's premiere design agencies. They focus on corporate identity, packaging design and interactive design, and consistently produce top quality work. Finally this is reflected through their own website as well. Check it out, because this is good stuff!

This amazing universe for creative kids, started by a team led by Vimeo co-founder Zach Klein is one of the most interesting and inspirational new startups I've come across in a long time. Not only is the idea unusual, the design mesmerizing and the execution flawless, it is also a service that I will actually start using on a daily basis and that I hope will make my life a tiny bit better. They've also done some fantastic things regarding the dangers of building a community for children.

Ben Barry is one of the most interesting designers around. The fact that he happens to be working at Facebook has apparently — and quite surprisingly — been a great fit for him. This has given him the opportunity to work at some highly experimental and high profile projects, such as the immensely wonderful Analog Research Laboratory. I guess my favorite project in his portfolio is his work for the f8 conference. The portfolio is functionalistic and simple, but has some nice details.

Here's the portfolio of an Oslo based design agency that unfortunately has only a Norwegian language site. However, it should be pretty straight-forward to navigate for Styleboost's international audience. I love how they've managed to keep it all elegant and spacious while at the same time making use of large, easily legible type. The minimal footer is also a nice touch. As are the colors.

Delightful interactions and lovely illustrations combined with clear explanations make for a very intriguing teaser site for Carbonmade's upcoming job board of sorts. My two favorite parts of the site are #1 how the carousel is rotating in a circular motion and #2 how the same carousel showcases the various professions. Bonus points for the cuteness!

The latest iteration of Virb's visual design is downright fantastic. And I'm actually surprised, because this is — as far as I know – the first design process at Virb that hasn't been led by Ryan Sims. The Virb team has once again done an amazing job that positions Virb as the most droolworthy CMS in this crowded field.

Bobby Solomon's art/design/fashion/music blog Kitsune Noir has been a long time favorite of mine. The latest redesign not only changed all the visuals, but also changed the name. As Bobby points out, there were many reasons for doing this, but the most amusing one is the fact that an annoying French record label who puts out crappy mixtapes kept on threatening to sue him. He's also posted a write-up about the excellent new site design.

The tagline is 'A Couple That Loves to Create', and it really shows. Spectacular work by a husband and wife team working side by side. It's very rare for a portfolio to be this convincing.
