ISO50 is a portfolio is a blog. Scott Hansen just took his portfolio site ISO50 to a whole new level. Perfect designers' blogs seem to be all the rage these days. Keeping it simple, while showing off some of Scott's most breathtaking poster designs in the sidebar seems to be the right recipe for the ISO50 blog. The typography and the colors are all to die for, too.

Kimm Saatvedt is a Norwegian photographer based in Oslo, the city where I'm located as well. Several of the previous installments of his personal portfolio site have been on Styleboost before. The latest version is no different, and definitely deserves a closer look. The all flash interface works well on a 1280 pixel wide screen as well as on my personal setup, a 1920 pixel wide screen, as it scales the work to the screen size. The navigation is simple and easy to use, while at the same time doing it a little bit different from the others. A nice detail to accompany the amazing photos.

Cabedge (not cabbage) is a Nashville based web design & development firm. This site is a treat for the eyes with a lot of attention paid to margins and whitespace. This makes for a relaxed and uncluttered experience. The color palette is wonderful, too, but it's the cleanliness and empty areas that really sells this one to me. Especially on the specific project pages when you're browsing their past work.

Ars Thanea is creative studio focused on new technologies, creation and design. Based in Warsaw, Poland, the guys behind Ars Thanea decided to make a blog. And what a blog it is! They've crafted, in my opinion, the ultimate "designer's" blog design along with wonderful, outstanding contents. If you're interested in the design scene, this is a blog to follow. I love how they're using Flash for multiple images. A very elegant and clean design. Just how I like it.

Who would have known that Portsmouth FC is the football team (no, I will not call it soccer as I resent this dumb term) with the slickest all-flash website in the world. As far as I have seen, that is. This site is so perfectly developed down to every last detail that I am willing to shut up about the fact that it's done with one almighty flash-file. It's pretty and it does the job. Good work, whoever developed/designed it! Thanks to Sandro for this one.

Filippa Smedhagen Sund's portfolio is, as far as I can recall, the first makeup artist's portfolio to be featured here on Styleboost. Its striking use of photography as well as the surprisingly easy to understand, yet highly experimental navigation of the site come together and combine forces for a great user experience. Slick and powerful.

Taking on the role of Nike recently, Microsoft has started delivering some of the most exciting Flash sites on the web. They're all very different and very creative and makes great use of the capabilites of Flash. If you're going to use Flash, you should go all the way like they're doing with this site. I also think they're taking the cheesy color scheme of Vista in a good direction with Surface.

Cicatriz Clothing comes as a breath of Flash air (I crack myself up) from Berlin. At this webshop you can buy t-shirts and more, all carefully and tastefully designed. The interface of this all Flash website is what makes it stand out, however. Video is used to show off the products, and the shop is a complete, integrated Flash solution with no pop-ups or other annoying stuff that most other Flash shops are infested with. A fun and outstanding site.

Conservation architect Christian Randall just launched his new Flashfolio. This one really stands out in how it relies on photos as navigation on a site for someone who's not primarily a photographer. I like how this is done and I like how the subtle hiding of the left column/navigation. Site by Sam Dallyn.

Watch the latest Music Video from your favorite artists. Get up to date Celebrity and Music News. See episodes of your favorite MTV Reality Show. The redesigned MTV.com is now a completely different and much better user experience. Bringing in consultants like Dan Cederholm to make sure they're on the right track tells me that the team behind the new site knows what they're doing. Their theming system named MTV HATS makes sure that hot designers give the site a fresh and varied look and feel. This is a great online makeover of one of the biggest media institutions in the world. Refreshing stuff. Via SimpleBits.
