While Apple's hardware has been looking sweeter and sweeter with each year passing, the company's online presence has become more and more stale over the past few years. This week they finally decided to give the site a major overhaul. And what a redesign it is. Making use of slick javascript effects all over, including on a site search that surpasses anything I've ever seen anywhere, period, this site is a marvel of web design/development.

Taking on the role of Nike recently, Microsoft has started delivering some of the most exciting Flash sites on the web. They're all very different and very creative and makes great use of the capabilites of Flash. If you're going to use Flash, you should go all the way like they're doing with this site. I also think they're taking the cheesy color scheme of Vista in a good direction with Surface.

As much as I'm waiting for the PS3 launch here in Norway in March, I still have to give some credit to Nintendo for the job they've done with the Wii. And I'm not only talking about what they've done with the console itself. Most of all, I'm impressed with how they're marketing this product. From the get-go, they've made Sony's Playstation 3 look like an arrogant, stuck-up moron. I'm not buying a Wii, I'm buying a PS3. But at the same time, I'm loving Nintendo's delicate XHTML/CSS + Flash website. The PS3 website, on the other hand, is different story.

Chris Erickson's snappy Flash portfolio is filled to the rim with sparkling ideas, designs, illustrations and more. At the same time, the navigation is so smooth and delicate that I can only say two thumbs up two Chris for sharing this beauty with the web.

If you have been online lately withour noticing the Optimus concept keyboard design by Art. Lebedev Studio, you're probably blind not a gadget fanatic geek like me. While the studio's portfolio site is not a web designer's wet dream, it contains so much goodness that you have to love it.

If you have Windows 2000 (or XP) preinstalled and are looking for "temptation within fairy tale", this one is for you. True, the site is a beauty. And yes, it's filled with models posing as fairy tale chicks holding delicious technology in their hands. What's not to like?!

Almost everything 2advanced puts some effort into is worth mentioning. This time they've started a web hosting solution. Although a bit plain on the surface, this site turns out to be one of their finest works to date.

Their site is just as simple and pleasing to the eye as their products. The simple effects, the clean motion and the sans-serif fonts. I don't even think they've used flash here.
