Momentum is a three person web studio based in the UK. Their portfolio site is very slick, to say the least. I especially love how they've added a frame around the site on bigger screens, but at the same time have avoided this on smaller screens.

Spectacularly yummy portfolio site from a small web studio based in Charlotte, NC. Make sure to visit every sub-category in the About section. There's some really nice details in there. Bonus points for having a color scheme that doesn't stray far from Styleboost's own palette. Via @insp_ire.

Sweden's iZettle is definitely aiming to become a better Square. Their technology is more future proof, their design is close or just as good as Square's, and they're already launched in several countries. The website does a very good job at showing off the potential of the service in an elegant wrapping. Via @niclas.

This amazing universe for creative kids, started by a team led by Vimeo co-founder Zach Klein is one of the most interesting and inspirational new startups I've come across in a long time. Not only is the idea unusual, the design mesmerizing and the execution flawless, it is also a service that I will actually start using on a daily basis and that I hope will make my life a tiny bit better. They've also done some fantastic things regarding the dangers of building a community for children.

Ben Barry is one of the most interesting designers around. The fact that he happens to be working at Facebook has apparently — and quite surprisingly — been a great fit for him. This has given him the opportunity to work at some highly experimental and high profile projects, such as the immensely wonderful Analog Research Laboratory. I guess my favorite project in his portfolio is his work for the f8 conference. The portfolio is functionalistic and simple, but has some nice details.

Oliver Reichenstein's Information Architects is probably one of the world's most highly respected digital design agencies. With an impressive portfolio and a tendency to be among those who set the agenda when it comes to the most interesting design trends and debates, it's no suprise that they've done something truly inspiring and experimental when it comes to their own site. My favorite detail in the new design appears next to the scroll bar if you start scrolling in the blog.

Google Ventures got a beautiful new site a little while back. The fact that they fixed the header in the background is probably my favorite part of this site. The site was designed by the Google Ventures design studio. Via Dribbble.

Everyone's favorite digital design/dev studio Weightshift's recent redesign is a beauty. No surprises there. Make sure to check out their body of work and the blog. So gorgeous.

I'm really digging what Postmates have done with their landing page. It's a difficult service to sell/explain, but in my humble opinion this is a very good attempt. It also stands out from the massive crowd of iPhone app teaser sites.

Notwerk is a new web app with a superb pixel perfect teaser page. Just click the "Read the brief" button at the bottom of the screen and you'll see what I mean. I think the super clean layout and the small, but well designed, info area works extremely well to pique my curiosity. The language also does a great job at setting the tone.
