Web designer Joshua Lane just recently put together his personal website in a brand new way. The focus is on his online presence elsewhere, but there is also blog posts and other content on the site itself. I think he's done a great and unusual job with this, and accentuated it with nice textures and wonderful typography. Via Zeldman.

North Kingdom are probably most famous for their incredible Flash campaign sites. At least that's how I got to know them. Their own portfolio site, however, is built with HTML5, CSS and JavaScript with wonderful results. It's a lightweight, easily navigated portfolio type site that's a pleasure to use. It's beautiful and highly usable without being flashy (no pun intended).

Pictory is a great project with an incredible design. This is one of those site designs I'd love to call my own. It's big, beautiful, boxy and bold, and still manages to break out of its own constraints. Simply stunning. Via @chrismessina.

Despite discovering this site through Smashing Magazine's Showcase of Web Design In Germany, I find this Swiss site to to be quite a beauty. There are so many details, and the changeable background color is a nice touch.

A minisite Shaun Inman created to show off his various projects in one place. It's very well done. The oversized pixels make for a strong identity, and the music player is a nice touch. As always, he impresses with multitude of skills. This man is truly gifted.

The rockstar web designers and user experience gurus over at Clearleft finally, yes finally, have launched a redesigned version of their own site. Do I like what they've done? Of course! It looks delicious while still being all about great content presentation. And it even features my favorite: chunky type. An instant favorite.
