Sommerfesten, a small Norwegian festival with a small but wonderful site (Norwegian only, I'm afraid). We Make seem to be churning out some of Norway's finest little websites one after another these days.

Grooveshark has revamped Tinysong and made it even easier to share single songs. I think TechCrunch's Robin Wauters describes it well: "Simple, useful, and nicely designed. What’s not to love?"

A few days ago, Facebook announced that they had acquired Divvyshot. If I'm not mistaken, Divvyshot launched its redesigned site just a few days prior to the announcement. I'm not sure what's going to happen to the new design and the service, but hopefully someone will make use of Divvyshot's design even after Facebook has merged the service into its own photo sharing service. It's a high class quality design that truly stands out from its competitors, after all.

Humanstudio (a.k.a Human) is a creative agency consisting of a core studio team and an extended network of talent. Founder Nick Bax was previously a director of The Designers Republic. The studio's portfolio site is basically a grid of thumbnail images of various sizes. The navigation is intuitive and easy to use, though I'd love the previous/next links to be a bit bigger. The work on display is, of course, splendid. Via CssDsgn.

Mike Matas is a photographer and interface designer over at Apple. He just redesigned his photography blog. It is done purely in javascript, no Flash, and I'm not sure I can put into words how outstanding this site is. You really should take a look at this video explaining the interface of the new site. This is ground breaking, gorgeous, jaw dropping interface design. If you're interested in reading more about Mike, there's an interview with him over at Cocoia.
UPDATE: Gordon just pointed out in the comments that Mike doesn't work at Apple any more.

Here's a designer clothing site from Serbia with some nice details in the navigation. Notice the way the items in the navigation become active as the images progressively are preloaded one after another. I'm not 100% in love with all the choices made in the design, but it looks stunning and has a slick implementation of various levels of navigation. Kudos to Nikola Arezina for pulling it off with such class.

Lift's website is one of the most detailed and graphics-intensive single page portfolio sites I've come across. I love the attention they paid to the most minute details, truly gorgeous. And the work displayed is good stuff all across the board. Basically, this site oozes of quality.

Carbonmade has just received an amazing makeover. The pages have basically changed into a bunch of super beautiful illustrated posters. And for some reason they've managed to do this while at the same time making the site extremely responsive. And who doesn't want to sign up for a service where the login button says "Moustache!"?

What's this? A website about beer that is actually fun to visit. Gone are all the preloaders, intro videos, background music, club kids and other aberrations that usually represent the field of alcoholic beverage websites. To say that this is a breath of fresh air in this respect is an understatement.
