This webiste is linked here both due to its web designer relevant functionality as well as its graphics. Typetester is a tool I've kept in my bookmarks for a little while now, and a tool I plan to use in the future.

As AJAX Web 2.0 RSS Ruby on Rails JavaScript is changing the web, Uptonic develops a replica of a photographer's Flashfolio without the use of Flash altogether. This site not only looks and works great, but it also maintains great urls in the address bar. Copy and send links to specific photos to your friends!
