This small single page website was designed by @jackdecaluwe, a Belgian designer based in Sydney, Australia. I love the visual style, which is in large part shaped by the illustrative style and the strict use of a single purple color. Simply a very nice little site.

Simple but powerful visuals for this brand new one day festival that took place in Stockholm, Sweden last Saturday. Great colors and typography wrapped in a single page wrapping works really well here.

Rome: "3 Dreams of Black" is an ambitious interactive film made by Chris Milk with help from Google. The project was made as a Chrome experiment to show off the power of WebGL, basically enabling hardware-accelerated 3D graphics in the web browser without a plug-in. It's very impressive technologically and a mesmerizing beauty to behold. And they have done a good job of sharing the code and explaining the basics behind the development.

This one does need any explanation really. The only question is why I didn't post it before. The site is filled with beautiful little details like illustrations, rollover effects and so on. Needless to say, the site really makes me want to attend the festival.

We Dance to the Beat is actually a site on its own, but located on [the awesome Swedish artist] Robyn's website. Create your own beat and share it with your friends. The retro C64-ish look and feel goes great with the music. This retro site is really a stunner visually. Via @ALmendili.

Bobby Solomon's art/design/fashion/music blog Kitsune Noir has been a long time favorite of mine. The latest redesign not only changed all the visuals, but also changed the name. As Bobby points out, there were many reasons for doing this, but the most amusing one is the fact that an annoying French record label who puts out crappy mixtapes kept on threatening to sue him. He's also posted a write-up about the excellent new site design.

This marketing website for Sony's Internet TV that is powered by Google TV is very slick. Who would have known that a tilt shift video featuring tiny people in front of a huge TV could be so hypnotizing. This is one of a select few campaign sites of its kind that actually impresses me and made me browse its contents.

I'm sure all of you saw this one last week. After all, it's not very often that a browser manufacturer like Google teams up with a hot band like Arcade Fire and a star director like Chris Milk to create something as beautiful as this. This is truly cutting edge.
