The new Teehan+Lax website is gorgeous. Not only that, but it's also very refreshing to see someone rethinking the function and layout of the front page of their portfolio site. The site is clean and functionalistic, and seems clearly inspired by a mobile first approach. It's also sprinkled with lots of great details all over, so you need to browse around for a bit to discover everything they have done with this. Make sure that you also read Geoff and Jon's wonderfully candid story of their company.

Work is a world class branding and product design team located in the heart of Oslo. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that they are passionate about their work. They also have the skills and resources to do incredible work for their clients. The site is clean and elegant throughout. My favorite part is how well they communicate their work through the use of big photos, their love for their craft, as well as the fact that they're in it for the long haul.

It's refreshing to see someone approach blog design with such a different mindset as Tobias van Schneider and Stephen Burgess did with Minimal Monkey. It's especially nice when the result is something so superb as this. Make sure you don't miss this one. Via Dribbble.

Etch is a small digital design & development agency located in Kent, UK. I think this is an incredible site with regards to elegantly and effectively explaining what they are all about. They come off as high quality and all around nice folks.

As always with MailChimp's designs, their annual report is a beauty to behold. They also managed to strip away everything but the bare essentials, which is a big plus in my book. My main gripe with sites like this one that have dynamically changing backgrounds, is that it's basically impossible to capture a full page screenshot. Damn you for making my life harder, MailChimp! Damn you!

SDG is one of Norway's premiere design agencies. They focus on corporate identity, packaging design and interactive design, and consistently produce top quality work. Finally this is reflected through their own website as well. Check it out, because this is good stuff!

One of the cleanest and most elegant teaser sites I've ever seen — for any kind of product or service. Everything feels just right. It could easily have been just another clean site, but the details like the little animations, the subtle color variations and the photography make sure that this doesn't happen. Via @rovdyr.

Everpix is one of those services that I really hope will succeed despite that I'm not currently subscribing to the photo management tool myself. However, I have been beta testing it a while back, and I must say it's an exquisitely designed service. The landing page is also a great example of the quality of the design, so check it out if you're not already signed up for Everpix.

The recent acquisition of ReadWriteWeb by Say Media has resulted in a wonderful redesign and rebranding into what is now known as ReadWrite. I must admit that I love the design. Rarely has a news site felt this fresh and modern. Three thumbs up for the parallax-ish scrolling technique. For more info, Fake Steve Jobs aka Dan Lyons, the new editor-in-chief of ReadWrite, has a good writeup about the new site and concept. Via Martin Berglund.

This one here is a shameless plug for my own agency's site. However, to my defence, I would like to state that I'm super proud of the site and that I only played a minor part in the final result. It was truly a team effort, where @rovdyr and @jensen2k did most of the heavy lifting. Via @MaximeDeGreve.
